Iran-U.S. Nuclear Talks Progressing Amid Tensions

On April 19, 2025, Iran and the United States concluded a second round of indirect nuclear negotiations in Rome, signaling cautious optimism toward a potential agreement. The discussions, mediated by Oman, involved Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff. Both parties agreed to commence expert-level technical talks in Oman on April 23, with a third round of negotiations scheduled for April 26.
